Mondays and Wednesdays
Cheerleading and acrobatics for children and teenagers – girls and boys alike. We group children by age and ability, and as the number of children grows, we may open more teams.
Children currently training at the club were born between 2015 and 2022.
JNS Slovakia is a cheerleading club and our sessions focus on cheerleading elements such as stunts (lifts), pyramids, jumps, gymnastics and acrobatics. The sessions build on each other, so we recommend attending both.

In June 2026 we helped run Evolution Cheer Flash at Bory Mall in Bratislava. Slovak, Czech and Hungarian teams competed in front of a packed shopping centre.
That is exactly where we are taking the children from JNS Slovakia – to sport cheerleading competitions at home and abroad.

JNS Slovakia is a sport cheerleading club that works with JNS Czechia – a club with more than 30 years of tradition. JNS Slovakia, o. z. is an independent Slovak non-profit association. JNS Czechia is our partner club: under licence we use their coaching method, know-how, coaching experience and visual identity, but we run our own finances and make our own decisions.
We started training in September 2026.
Sessions are run in Slovak. Our head coach also speaks English and Czech, so international children are very welcome.
The JNS family is growing: from Prague to Bratislava.
Who runs the club
Andrea Paňko
The club is led by Andrea Paňko – a multiple cheerleading champion who came up through JNS in the Czech Republic, first as an athlete and then as a coach. She has been involved in cheerleading for more than 20 years. She has served as head coach and team manager of the Czech national team, team manager of the Slovak national team and vice-president of the Slovak Cheerleading Union. She is also an international judge and coach educator.
She leads the sessions in person, together with other experienced coaches. We follow a set coaching method and teach skills step by step. The safety of our athletes always comes first.

Let us know in advance
Please tell us in advance if your child will miss a session. Cheerleading is a team sport – one missing member affects the whole routine.
Responsibility
During sessions
The club is responsible for your child from the start to the end of each session. Before and after, the parent or legal guardian is responsible and makes sure the child arrives on time and is collected. You tell us on the registration form how your child leaves (collected by you, by an authorised person, or on their own). The club is not liable for personal belongings.
School pick-up
From school at 15:30
By prior arrangement and with your written consent, we can offer pick-up from Devín primary school at 15:30 and walk your child to training. We are then responsible from the moment we collect them at school.
Competitions
When they are ready
A place in the competition routine is not automatic – the coach decides based on readiness, safety and attendance. Competition costs (entry fees, travel, accommodation, costumes) are paid by parents, and we always tell you in advance. Our first competitions are planned for the spring part of the season.

We communicate officially by email at info@jnsslovakia.sk, day-to-day updates in our WhatsApp group. We do not discuss individual matters on social media.
Membership fee

Email us and we will send you the membership fee and options (two sessions a week, sibling discount).
No need to book your first two sessions. Bring your child on a Monday or Wednesday at 16:00 to the main hall of the Devín Cultural Centre, Kremeľská 39. The coach will register your child on the spot and explain everything.

At JNS Slovakia, in the main hall of the Devín Cultural Centre (Dom kultúry Devín), Kremeľská 39. We train on Mondays 16:00 – 17:00 and Wednesdays 16:00 – 17:30. It is an easy trip from Devín, Karlova Ves, Devínska Nová Ves, Dúbravka and the Old Town.
What age can children start cheerleading?
We welcome children and teenagers of all ages. Our coach groups them by age and ability, and once an age group is big enough, it gets its own team.
Is cheerleading safe for children?
Yes, when skills are taught in the right order. We teach acrobatics from the basics. Stunts and lifts are trained step by step, always with safety first. Sessions are led by Andrea Paňko, former head coach of the Czech national team.
What does my child need for the first session?

Can we join mid-season?
Yes, at any point in the season. Your first two sessions are free with no commitment – just turn up, no sign-up needed, and our coach will register your child on the spot.
Is cheerleading only for girls?
Not at all. Every child finds their role – base, flyer or tumbler. Boys are very welcome.
How do I get to Devín from the Old Town, Karlova Ves and Devínska Nová Ves?
From the Old Town, take bus 29 from the Eurovea or Nový most (Most SNP) stop – about 15 minutes. From Karlova Ves it is the same bus 29, or around 9 minutes by car. From Devínska Nová Ves it is about 10 minutes by car. There is parking right by the Cultural Centre.
